Rex's first book

Rex was so cute after church on Sunday. They made a book in class so he had to come home and make another book. He did it all himself except for a little help from Dad taping it together. He was SO proud of it and put it on my nightstand so Mark and I could read it before we went to bed! He also made another one the next day for our neighbor Avery. I was busy while he was making the boo, because we had people over so when I finally had time to look at it after he was in bed, I wanted to wake him up and hug him! I was so proud, he's a good boy. He wrote cat, bad and Tad (the leapfrog character) all by himself! Here's the book:

My final cake for Course 1

I think it turned out pretty good! The only thing I don't like is the blue bow, but it was good practice doing a bow. Now who wants to do another course with me?!

Herrett Center

We spent a few days at Grandma's house this week for Spring break. It was a short but fun trip. We also went down to Burley to see Stefanie for a few hours. That was nice, I definitely wish it could have lasted longer but Sam was completely burnt out after a short night of sleep. I forgot to take pictures until the last day when we stopped at Grandma's work on the way out of town. My kids LOVE Grandma's work! She works at the Herrett Center museum on the CSI campus. It is a neat place with a mammoth sculpture lizards, frogs and other fun things to explore. The best part though is that Grandma always takes the boys down to the basement, where only the employees are allowed, to see the snakes, legless lizards, monitors, tarantula's and cockroaches that are housed there! My kids are so into it! This time Nick, the guy who handles all the snakes was there and took out a bunch and let the kids pet them. Rex was in heaven and was even scaring me a bit with how brave he was! It's such a great place. If you are ever in Twin Falls, I HIGHLY recommend it! And if you know my mom you just might get a special tour!

I love this snake, he strikes at the glass whenever you are near him, fiesty little fellow! He's like the snake on Jungle Book.
Rex playing with the interactive dinosaur that only costs, $350!! It's pretty cool though it plays tug of war and cuddles and snores in your arms.

My soccer star!

Rex had his first soccer game on Saturday. He was so excited and couldn't wait! It's cute because they don't really understand how to play a "game" at 4, so they way they do it is they have 4 different stations that they rotate through doing different drills and practices. The last station they have a little mini game. It's hilarious because they kids have no clue what they are doing and run clear off the field and into other kids games! Rex loved it though and had a great time. Luckily his good friend Kemper is on his team. They are also the two tallest ones on the team, good thing they have each other!
