One of the highlights of Santa Barbara always is feeding the fish at the retirement community. This is where Mark's grandma lived before she passed away and so the grandkids have been coming to feed the fish for years. My boys love it. The fish are obviously used to getting fed because they are HUGE and they are not afraid to get really close, even letting you touch them. It's pretty cool even for a boring adult like me.
See HUGE!
I love this next succession of photos because it shows Sam and this funny fish with it's head out of the water, then him touching it and then getting completely drenched as the fish splashed away.

Santa Barbara zoo
Ok, back to California. I am determined to finish this!
Thursday we spent the day at the Santa Barbara zoo. It's one of our favorite places to visit in SB. The boys had a great time. It was really warm and probably would have been another great day for the beach but we had a good time.
They have a fake grass hill there that kids use to slide down on cardboard pieces. I couldn't figure out why we kept seeing people carrying cardboard around until we got there. Luckily, a few kids abandoned theirs so my kids could do it as well. I think that was their favorite part.
We also decided to pay to feed the giraffe. The boys loved it and it made for some great pictures.
Cool flowers
The giraffe area had the best view in the zoo. An ocean view!

Two pics
The boys were a little too quiet this morning so I went to investigate and found this:
They were in the process of getting dressed for the day and got a little distracted by some books! So cute and yes I blurred out private parts to protect the innocent!
And Monday I will be 20 weeks!! Halfway there, feeling good and loving the kicks I get every day!
