Sam's a joker

My boys are really into telling jokes lately, they love it! Mark is so good and will get online and look up funny jokes to teach them. The other morning Sam woke up before Rex and was being so cute and funny, I had to record it. Excuse the piece of egg on his face! If you want to hear the gorilla one you'll have to wait until the end...

Life according to Rex

My boys and husband are at the Father/Son campout this weekend so I am missing them. So why not blog about them? We have two cameras. One really nice one that takes beautiful pictures but is huge and one small one that doesn't take the best pictures and is on it's last leg but is small and easy to transport. I often allow Rex to use it because it's not a big deal. I downloaded some pictures the other day and saw these gems! Apparently this is Rex's view on life...

He graduated!

Rex survived his 2 week stint in swimming lessons! If you don't remember this, you'll wonder why I was worried. Ever since that incident Rex does not like water over his head. He does great in shallow water and even water up to his chin, but when it comes to going any deeper he is terrified. I was worried he wouldn't progress much but I think it helped that he had 2 girls in his class that were totally showing him up! I would catch him watching them stick their heads under and kicking and he totally had to do the same thing. He never did let the teacher let go of him in the deep end, even with a flotation device, but he progressed leaps and bounds! GOOD JOB BUDDY!!! He's going to do another round in August so hopefully he will slowly and surely get over his fear.

Birthday party!

Mark's brother David and his family just moved up here from St. George and we are so excited! David is the oldest so his girls are all teenagers or practically teenagers now, but they are so fun and we love having cousins close. They got here Sunday and yesterday was Megan's birthday so I did a party over here since they are in the middle of boxes. Somehow we only got pictures of the cake but we had a yummy grilled dinner, a girly cake I got to make, and then rocked out to Rock Band the rest of the night. Megan was awesome at it! She is also amazing with my little guys, totally patient and willing to play with them. Happy Birthday Megan! And YAY for family living here!

The cake

Megan- so cute!

Enlisting the boys help and they did eventually get them!

The best thing to ever have happened to me

is this man.

This day was one of the best days of my life. I married my best friend.

I then learned what he was made of when we welcomed Rex into the world. He stepped up and was with me ever step of the way those tough first few months of Rex's life.

He honored his Priesthood and was able to give our son a beautiful blessing.

He was so excited to expand our family, this was right after we found out I was pregnant again.

I love the look of complete adoration after his mini me (Sam) came into the world.

He is the most amazing father and his boys absolutely adore him. (as does his wife :))

Happy Father's Day babe!! We love you!!

How did I get so lucky?

Doggie diapers

Just when I think I am done with diapers...

My dog goes into heat. Without getting into gross details, she must wear diapers and she is losing her reproductive ability before the next one comes along. Gross.

Bakugan mania

I guess if you have boys you will probably know what I am talking about but I have to say it....

I am so tired of hearing all about Bakugan's, all. day. long. I think our Bakugan's just might have to take an extended vacation before Rex's mommy loses her mind permanently!

Pottytraining

Sam is doing amazing with peeing in the potty this week. I really cracked down to do it this week and he has followed along great and is ready. We have only had a couple of pee accidents since last Monday. Poo however is another story. Last week he did good, but this week twice he has started balling and I realize it's because he just pooped his pants. I have never gotten mad at him for it so I am not sure why he is so upset when he does it. He gets so sad and just cries, it's heartbreaking! I think he is holding it and trying not to poo because he seems a little constipated. Anyone have any suggestions on motivating a kid to poo on the toilet? Rex was the opposite. He did great with poo and had a hard time remembering to pee on the toilet.

My poor little guy.

Rain Rain go away...

I am a bit tired of the rain but my flowers have loved it! The roses have gone crazy this year. It is definitely making things beautiful but I am ready to get back to the waterpark, I mean it's JUNE already! So GO AWAY rain!

Boom Boom Pow

This is my boys favorite song right now, I must say they have good taste. Every time they hear it they go crazy, today Isaac joined in on the fun. Maybe So You Think You Can Dance will want them to compete???

Cracking me up again

Conversation as Sam was sitting on the toilet today:
Me: "Did you make pee pee yet Sammy?"
Sam: "Yea, I make pee pee out of my vagina!"
Me: (laughing) "You don't have a vagina"
Sam: "I have a pee pee?"
Me: "Yep"
Sam: "And Daddy have a pee pee and Rexy have a pee pee and Jackson have a pee pee..." (as he proceeds to name every boy he knows that has a pee pee)

I love this kid!

Preschool is over....

now how am I going to entertain him!! :) Guess we will be sending LOTS of time at the waterpark this summer. Rex absolutely LOVED Preschool this year and especially his teacher Miss Cindy. She was AMAZING with him and he learned so much. He got his first "progress report" and we realized we probably won't ever have problems with him learning things, he is smart as a whip and catches on to things so quickly. However, sometimes his behavior leaves a bit to be desired. Overall, he is good, but I think because he picks things up so quickly, he gets bored and has a hard time focusing on the task at hand and listening. We knew this from home. Luckily Miss Cindy was really good at keeping him in check so hopefully this is something we can work on at home. He sure loved Preschool and the great friends he made there!
