Sam likes to accessorize. Whether it's a newborn Santa claus hat or a snazzy headband my friend made, he is all about the accessories.

My princesses
I had to steal this picture off my friends blog she just posted. This was a few months ago but it was hilarious! Sam's love of princesses is well documented but Rex not so much. Now I have blackmail... bring on the girlfriends boys.
P.S. Notice their fingernails.

Last week of Preschool
This week is Rex's last week of Preschool. He has spent two years at this school and I can confidently say they have been two years well spent. He has had two fabulous teachers and a great experience. He has also learned so much. I am a little scared to put him in public school where I know the experience just won't live up. If I had the extra money I would enroll him in the Preschool's kindergarten program but it's pricey. I am so proud of Rex. Here are two songs he learned this year. I was impressed. I don't even know all the Presidents and States which is why when he got hung up on the states I couldn't help him. Guess I need to "Google" the song!

Rainy day fun
Since today was a high of 46 and rainy, even though it was 80 degrees last week, I decided to show some video I took in the last few months on not so nice days outside. The kids love to play in the garage on those days and I happily allow them. They will play out there for hours.

Books
I love reading. So I started a Book club. So far so good. We had our first meeting last night and everyone seems excited. Our first book was chosen by me and it is so good. Having family in Littleton my whole life, this tragedy really hit me so to read all the insider info on it over 10 years later is so very interesting. So many things the media got wrong. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I highly recommend it.

De Ja Vu
My kids spent the weekend recreating the memories I have of being at Grandpa and Grandma's house when I was little. My mom bought my Grandparents house a few years ago and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that they get to grow up visiting the same place I loved so much and have so many great memories of. Many of those memories are of the yard, playing ball, riding skateboards and climbing trees. I also played Barbie's a good chunk of the time but thankfully they aren't there anymore or else I am sure that's what Sam would do all the time!

The reply
Rex decided that the love note he received needed a reply note. He spent a good 20 minutes on it. When I asked him to tell me about it he said that it was he and Leni's house, with flowers and dead grass in the front (?). Their dog is in the left hand upper corner. Notice the hearts...
Oh boy.
In case any of you are wondering, no I do not encourage this. He comes up with these things all on his own.

First love note
Rex got his first love note today. It was in his backpack when he got home from school. I asked him about it and he said Leni wanted to draw him a picture. When I pointed out that there were hearts all over the picture, he got a big grin on his face and looked very pleased with himself. Heartbreaker.

Triops part 2
A day or two after my post about our Triops, they died. Not surprising they aren't supposed to live very long and not sad because honestly they were creepy. All three were dead at the bottom of the bowl. I took the best looking one out to get a really good picture of it now that it was out of water. Cool picture huh?
I kept the little creepy guy on that paper towel for about 1/2 hour and then for some odd reason put him back in the bowl of water. I think I wanted Mark to see them or something. A couple hours later I looked in the bowl and he was swimming in circles! Now I am even more creeped out by the little guy! He lived like this, swimming in circles like he had a stroke for 3 more days. I was so happy to see him finally bite the dust. He promptly went down the disposal.

I'm in love
With a dress.
If I wasn't in a 7 month (so far) battle trying to bring a baby into this world, I would totally ask for this for Mother's Day.
