Update!

I guess we may have 70 degree weather after all this weekend!

What the??

Rex came in this morning and told me that winter came. I didn't believe him, after all it's April right and we were only wearing light jackets yesterday. Sure enough I looked out my back door and saw this.


According to the weather man it's supposed to be 70 degrees this weekend. He better be right because I am not cool with snow in April!

Happy Birthday Uncle Ben!!!

Ever since we sent my brother his birthday card, Rex has not stopped talking about Uncle Ben's birthday. According to Rex, Uncle Ben is having a party and we need to go to it, even though Uncle Ben lives over 5 hours away! He was ready to go this morning, so to make him feel a little better and to give Uncle Ben a special gift, we decided to take pictures with a homemade sign!



And here is Boykin, he LOVES Uncle Ben! Notice his cocked to the side look when I mentioned Uncle Ben's name, like, "Is he really coming to play?"

And then there were the kids not looking very excited! I thought they were funny so I will include them.


Thanks Uncle Ben for being such a great Uncle to my kids. Rex absolutely adores you and talks about you all the time. We wish you lived closer and will really miss seeing you when you move to Denver! LOVE YOU!

Future soccer player

Rex found Mark's soccer stuff in the closet the other day and decided to try it on. He even has the shin guards on under the shorts! He wants to be just like his daddy!

And just because it is funny, here is a picture of Boykin enjoying the sunny weather. He stayed out there for hours in the same position! And yes those are dead spots of grass from his urine. One of the minuses of having a dog, although the pluses far outweigh the minuses! :)

NKOTB Forever!

I know you were all waiting for me to post this! I have actually been kind of facetious with this whole NKOTB thing. I am not sure I would even like their music anymore, for heaven sake's I was 11 when I loved them! But I have still been interested just because this kind of stuff interests me. Well, I have to say, watching them talk today on the Today show, I kind of got excited!! I can't wait until they perform in May just to see what it will be like. I have to say my favorite is still Jonathon just because he seems the most "normal". And I still get majorly irritated with Joey. I know he was a favorite of many, but he has always rubbed me the wrong way and STILL does. Anyway, if you want to see the clip, here it is!! NKOTB FOREVER!!

in order to play dress-up! Rex has learned how to climb up on my dresser and get into my jewelry box, and play with my jewelry. Sam loves to play along also!




Good thing we went to Mark's soccer game last night and Rex played soccer on the sidelines the whole time! And Daddy's team won! Good job guys! They also both had fun "playing" a car game. Here's some camera phone pictures.

Sign language

I have kind of done sign language with my kids but never very consistently. The only sign Rex ever learned was "more". With Sam, we have kind of done "food", "more" and "drink". Tonight he was so irritated and ornery and I asked him if he wanted some food or num-nums. Much to Mark and I's shock he busted out the sign for "food"! We were shocked! He was so proud of himself so I had to get a picture of him with his food. Fish and salad. He ate the fish, but the salad ended up on the floor!
