Rex is really into drawing people lately. His people crack me up! He brought these home from church a couple of weeks ago. I am assuming their lesson was about the First Vision.


The other day he decided to draw me a Valentines card. It is pretty funny. He asked me how to spell mom, I love how he does it with the two m's next to each other and the o above. I asked him what I was doing in the picture and he said I was in bed... apparently he thinks I spend a lot of time in bed? Funny thing is the only time he sees me in bed is when he wakes me up in the morning.

He also made Valentines for all his grandparents today, so look for those in the mail guys!

Now I have to show these really blurry pictures. Sam has been wanting to be "nakey" every day lately. Not sure where he got his exhibitionism from... but anyway he was on the trampoline and Abby decided she wanted to get up there and lay down. It has become her new favorite place to sleep. They looked so cute I had to take a picture, too bad they were blurry. Still cute.

No compromising!

I have been feeling a bit depressed lately. I seem to get like this every January. At this point I am tired of cold weather, usually there is an inversion for a few weeks and I am done with being cooped up in the house. I realized I need to buckle down on my priorities lately, because when I get like this all I want to do is sit on the computer and be lazy. So I decided no computer except for during Sam's nap time. I also am trying to schedule out my day and make sure I spend plenty of time just playing with my kids. So far just changing my attitude and doing these things have helped a ton. So this morning I was upstairs playing with the boys. They were playing with the bowling set and when I first got it down they were fighting over it. It got pretty heated and fists started being thrown (oh the joy of boys). I got in between them and said, "You guys need to share and learn to compromise or I am putting the bowling away!" Sam looked at me amidst his crying and yelled, "I no wanna compromise!" I couldn't help but bust out laughing at my not even 2 year old who said the word compromise! Eventually they learned to compromise.

The Plan of Salvation according to Rex

Last night at FHE, Mark was trying to explain that after we die we will go to either the Celestial, Terrestrial or Telestial planets. So he drew a picture of the sun, moon and stars and asked Rex which was the brightest. He explained that we want to go to the Sun (Celestial) planet because that is where God and Jesus are and that's where we can be with each other forever. He also explained that people who didn't follow God and did naughty things would go to the other planets. I wasn't sure he grasped it but this morning I realize he grasped it a little too well. Every time Sam says the word stupid (his favorite lately, don't ask me) or doesn't listen to me, Rex says, "Sam your going to go to the stars!" Then Rex wasn't listening to me and was doing something and I told him he needed to knock it off because it was naughty. He said, "Does that mean I am going to the stars?" I think our lesson next week should probably be on repentence...
