We lost our dog, a member of our family last night. He got really sick on Thursday and started having seizures. He had probably a total of 8 by the time it was all said and done. The vets still don't know exactly what was wrong but they suspect either a brain tumor or an infection that attacked his brain, heart and lungs. We thought he was getting better last night because he perked up and started eating and walking around but he must of known that we needed to remember him for the fun, loving dog he was. Shortly after, he had 3 seizures in a row and they decided that there wasn't much to be done. We are devastated and miss his presence already. We only had him for 5 years but those 5 years were great. He was such a well behaved dog and was so patient and loving with the kids. They are really going to miss him, Rex doesn't quite understand and keeps asking where Boykin is. Please keep our family in your prayers.

Sorry to hear about Boykin. His cousin Morgan misses him too.
Sad day...he sure is a nice looking dog and it looks like you had a lot of fun times with him! :)
So sorry to hear of your loss, it is just so sad to say goodbye to a loved pet, we have lost several over the years and it doesn't get any easier! Dogs really are great pets we wouldn't be without one, or two (we have had 4!).
Oh no! how sad, I'm so sorry to hear. I loved his name. That is sweet you got that pot in memory of him.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose a pet. My girls watched as our dog got ran over a couple years ago. It was a very hard thing to go through with them. We waited about 2 months, then got a new puppy. It really helped them to not think about death so much.
My sister's dog died the same way as Boykin. It was a very hard thing for their family to watch as well.
I'm thinking of you . . .
oh my gosh...I am crying right now... both shaun and I got a little broken up reading this. I can't even imagine losing our dogs and what the girls would think.
I am so sorry.
he was a good dog... whenever we were around he was always so well behaved.
